One of the key features in the app is having the ability to pre-configure a property as a "digital user guide" for the next owner, and then transfer that property to them so that they have it in their own Centriq account.  

Trigger the Centriq Insights Report

If you are a home inspector, real estate photographer, agent or other pro or general homeowner using the Centriq Insights Report, transferring the property is the way to trigger the report.

To transfer a property: 

  1. Log in to your Centriq account via Centriq Online or Centriq Mobile

  2. Select the Address from the top of the screen.
    The app may open to an alternate address, but you can open the list of addresses by selecting whatever address appears at the top. 

  3. Tap the Manage Properties button. 

  4. Select the property you want to transfer with the arrow on the right. 

  5. Tap the Transfer Property button.

  6. Follow the on screen guidance to complete the transfer.


Once you send the property, the user will receive an email that you have transferred the property to them.  The property will remain in your "custody" in the app until your client clicks a Complete Transfer button from within the email.  After that, the property is transferred to them and out of your control.

After you transfer the property, the Property Insights Report will start processing, and your client will receive a second email indicating that the report is ready. Your client can download it from a link in the email in PDF format.

Review the report before sending to your client

You have to transfer the property in order to trigger the creation of the report, however, if you want to review the report first, you can send it to a temporary recipient.

  1. Complete the same steps as above to transfer the report, but send it to a temporary email address. Use a different email than your account email, or you can use a dummy email such as temp@temp.com.

  2. DON'T ACCEPT the transfer.
    You only need to send the report to trigger the report creation. If you don't accept the Centriq account, you'll still receive the second email when the report is ready for your review.

  3. Once you receive the email that the report is ready, you can review it through the link. Let us know if you see any issues in the report and we can correct it for you right away.

  4. Withdraw the transfer and send it to your client.
    Follow the steps to cancel the transfer. Then use the same steps as above to send the final property to your client.
