How to pass on the Centriq account information that stays with the house to the next owner

We love that you want to share your home in Centriq! πŸ₯° Thank you.

🏠 If you sell your home or move (and rent it out), you can pass on the information about the appliances and equipment that stays with your home to the new owner or tenant. 

If you have any upgraded Centriq plan (Centriq Limited, Centriq Expert, or Centriq Genius), all you have to do is:

  1. Send us a request to create a copy of the property you are leaving.

  2. After the copy is made, delete your personal items from the account and only leave the items that are staying with the house.
    Steps 1 and 2 are not needed if all of the items in the property that you are transferring are intended to be sent in the transfer.

  3. Change the property address on your original account and delete any items that you aren't taking with you in the move.

Additional notes:

  • Contact support if you'd like to pay a one-time fee to upgrade for a month to complete this. Then if you choose, you can cancel for the following month and forward.

  • After you send the transfer, the recipient will receive an invitation to create an account and accept the property. The new owner is not required to upgrade to use the account regardless of the number of items it has. They don't need a paid account until or unless they want to add more items to the account on their own. If you merely transfer it to them, they can have the inventory for free.

  • You retain access to the property after the transfer until they accept. The property is removed from your account and you no longer have access after the new owner has accepted.

ON THE FREE VERSION OF CENTRIQ

If you are on a free Centriq plan, you are limited to having one property in your account, so you will need to create a new account for the buyer or tenant using the property address that you are leaving, add the items that are staying with the home, and then transfer the Centriq account to the buyer or tenant.

It's ok to add the property and the items as duplicates to what you already have in your account, however, in a free account you can only add 5 items and 1 property.

The fastest way to re-add the appliances and systems that stay with the app is to re-add the items to the new property either by typing in the model numbers or using the original product labels. You can do this quickly using the browser-based version of the app on your computer.
