Why are my items taking so long to complete? Processing delay?

Slow processing. Waiting for items. Processing dealy. Why is this update taking so long?

If you have over 30 items in your account, it is likely that you are adding items that are not already in our database and need manual processing, or worse, you have added an item that is already in our database, but is marked as "flagged for review". Items that are flagged for review are placed in a queue for prioritized processing by category. The more "non-standard" the category, the longer it may take for the item to come up in the queue, as we prioritize more popular items that are held by multiple users.

As you add more and more items that are more unique or difficult to identify, the processing times for these items will be MUCH longer for now. We are in a transition to implementing more efficient identification practices that use more automation to find the content. This will ensure that our process is faster in the long term.

Also please be aware, we do our best to add complete information for every item added to our platform, so if there is no information added for your item its likely that there is a valid reason:

  • No official manuals: We typically only add official manuals and information, so while it was found on third party seller sites such as Ebay, we do not add information from these sources. If the manuals are available on manualslib.com, we can't download and reuse their manuals. We have very recently implemented a new policy that we will link to their pages when it is possible.

  • Model number confusion: We also ensure that any documents that we add are an exact match to the model number. In some cases the manual might be for the product series, and not for the exact model, and this sometimes causes our automated processes to miss adding that particular manual.

  • Incorrect data entered: Its always best to use an image of the product label to help us identify your item. If you type in the brand and model, its possible that information might be missed that would help us to quickly and accurately identfy it. If you are unable to add the actual label, you can write or type the brand and model and submit an image of that.
